Set up a Morph Wallet
How to Set Up a Morph-Compatible Wallet?
Morph is a Layer 2 scaling solution designed for efficient and cost-effective transactions. To interact with the Morph network, you need a compatible wallet. This guide walks you through setting up a Morph-compatible wallet step by step.
Step 1: Choose a Compatible Wallet
To interact with the Morph network, you’ll need a wallet that supports custom RPC networks. If you don’t have a wallet installed, download and install one from the official website. Popular options include:
Step 2: Add the Morph Network to Your Wallet
Once your wallet is installed, you need to manually add the Morph network by entering its RPC details. In the example below, we will be using a Metamask Wallet.
Adding Morph to MetaMask:
Open MetaMask and click on the network dropdown at the top.
Select Add Network > Add a network manually.
Enter the following network details:
Network Name: Morph
New RPC URL: https://rpc.morphl2.io
Chain ID: 10937
Currency Symbol: ETH
Block Explorer URL: https://explorer.morphl2.io
Click Save to add the network.
Your wallet is now connected to Morph!
The values required to add Morph to compatible wallets may change over time. To ensure accuracy, always refer to Morph’s official GitBook for the latest configuration details.
Step 3. Add Funds to Your Wallet
Before you can interact with dApps on Morph, you will need some ETH in your Morph wallet for transaction fees. Here’s how to do it:
Via Centralised Exchange: If you’re transferring ETH from a centralised exchange, confirm Morph L2 is selected as the withdrawal network to avoid loss of funds.
Via Morph Bridge: Please note, Morph Bridge only moves assets from and to Ethereum.
Step 4. Connect to dApps and Start Using Morph
Now that your wallet is ready, you can start using dApps on the Morph network:
Visit a Morph-compatible dApp.
Click Connect Wallet and select your wallet from the list.
Approve the connection and begin exploring what Morph has to offer.
